Privacy Policy

Effective July 12, 2026

Delta is designed around a simple privacy choice: your journal content stays on your device. This policy explains what that means, what limited technical data may still exist, and what you control.

1. Local content

Delta stores journey details and daily posts in your browser's local storage. Photo records are stored in IndexedDB, while original photos and thumbnails use browser-managed local file storage. The Delta application does not upload this journal content to a Delta server.

2. No account or sync

Delta does not require an account and does not provide cloud synchronization. Content created in one browser or on one device will not automatically appear anywhere else.

3. Technical delivery data

When you load Delta, the hosting and network providers that deliver the website may process standard request information such as your IP address, browser type, requested URL, and timestamps for security and reliable delivery. Delta does not use this information to build a profile from your journal content.

4. Device permissions

Delta only accesses photos or camera features after you choose to use them and your browser or operating system grants permission. You can change these permissions in your device or browser settings.

5. Retention and deletion

Your Delta content remains in the browser storage on your device until you remove it or the browser removes it. Clearing site data, resetting the browser, or deleting app data may permanently erase your journal. Because Delta has no cloud copy, we cannot restore locally deleted content.

6. Sharing and sale

Delta does not sell your journal content. Because that content is not sent to Delta's servers, Delta does not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

7. Security

Local-first storage reduces server-side exposure, but the security of your content also depends on your device, browser, passcode, backups, and anyone who can access them. Keep your device and browser current and protected.

8. Children

Delta is not directed to children under 13. If local law requires a higher minimum age to use digital services without parental consent, that higher age applies.

9. Varmada policies

Delta is a Varmada service and also abides by the Varmada Privacy Policy and Varmada Terms of Service. If those policies provide additional protections or requirements, they apply alongside this policy.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as Delta evolves. The effective date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means the revised policy applies to your future use.
